Gargoyles are to be feared. The stories say they broke the world when they arrived, and it’s their fault humanity’s been struggling to survive ever since. But the only Gargoyle Lilly’s ever known is the stone statue with a broken horn and damaged wing, the one she likes to believe watches over them and their cave, keeping them safe.
